December 2020 Roundup + Year In Review

Goodbye 2020!

I’m stoked to close out this long year with a strong finish – I read 15 books in December! It helps that my social outings are zero and I just spent the holidays at home with a pile of books. Here’s what I read in the last month of 2020:

Year in Review

2020 was a tough year but somehow I ended up reading 155 books which is the most I’ve read in a year ever! It’s clear that reading is my outlet more than anything else. I’m really thankful that I have my blog and bookstagram to focus on whenever things get really down, and just knowing that there are so many books out there helped keep me motivated to share my love for them.

It wasn’t always easy – I had reading slumps and I spent a lot of time in 2020 rereading old favourites instead of tackling my TBR. In the end I decided that I wanted to focus on what I want to read instead of what I felt I should. This means I’m behind on reviews, I did not read the “popular” books, and I have a long list of books to read going into 2021. But this is perfectly fine. Books don’t expire! There’s no time limit to sharing my love for books so that’s what I’ll keep doing.

Some of the highlights of my reading year:

Despite everything, I think I had a pretty good year. I’ll be posting my favourite books of the year soon so watch this space!
