December 2021 Roundup + Year In Review
Goodbye 2021!
It’s been a year of ups and downs and I’m happy to close out 2021 with a month of relaxed reading. I spent time with family over the holidays and caught up on movies that I’ve been meaning to watch. I ended up reading 10 books! Here’s what I read in December:

Year in Review
Can you believe another year has gone by! Thanks to the never ending lockdowns I read 145 books this year 😳 Some of them are amazing and made me go on a rollercoaster of emotions (mostly tears… a lot of tears). Reading became my outlet more than anything else and I’m thankful that I have my blog and bookstagram to focus on whenever things get down. Wanting to share my love for books kept me going!
Some of the highlights of my reading year:
- Compiled a resources section on my blog
- Took part in a number of blog tours
- Shared my thoughts on bad reviews and why they matter and the darkness of The Portrait of Dorian Gray
- Made reading lists for Women In Horror Month, LGBTQ+ horror books, witch horror books, upcoming movies based on horror books, new horror books for autumn, horror novellas for Halloween, recommended Nordic noir and winter horror books
- Hosted the third year of Nordic Noir November
Overall, I think I had a pretty good year. I’ll be posting my favourite books of the year soon so watch this space!
