Review | Midnight In The Graveyard edited by Kenneth W. Cain
Anthologies can be hit or miss for the most part but I like reading them as I can discover new authors. Iโm pleased with how much I enjoyed MIDNIGHT IN THE GRAVEYARD! It contains 25 horror stories featuring ghosts in all shapes and forms, and the majority are compelling and memorable. Even the introduction, written by Jonathan Janz. is entertainingly enticing.

Here are my picks of the bunch:

๐๐จ๐ ๐๐๐ฒ๐ฌ by Kenneth W. Cain – a suspenseful epistolary tale of wild dogs
๐๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐๐ง ๐๐จ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ก๐จ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ by Jason Parent – a gory Halloween terror of teens stuck in a haunted house
๐๐ก๐ ๐๐ฅ๐ข๐ฆ๐ฆ๐๐ซ ๐๐ข๐ซ๐ฅ๐ฌ by Kenneth McKinley – a tragic, disturbing story of sisterhood set at a radium factory
๐๐๐ฌ๐ญ ๐๐๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐๐ญ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐ฎ๐๐๐๐ง ๐๐๐๐ญ๐ก ๐๐๐ฅ๐จ๐จ๐ง by Allan Leverone – a journalist investigates a mysterious town with terrible consequences
๐๐ก๐ ๐๐ข๐ง๐ ๐จ๐ ๐๐ซ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ก by Thomas F. Monteleone – a brutal horror about war and manโs folly
๐๐ก๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ญ๐ฉ๐จ๐๐ค๐๐ญ by Alan M Clark – a beautiful Dickensian story of a reverse pickpocket
๐๐จ๐ซ๐ญ๐ซ๐๐ข๐ญ by Kealan Patrick Burke – an emotional, dark tale of desperation
There were a couple of stories that I felt were kind of forgettable but none that I disliked. This is truly an outstanding collection and I’m glad for the chance to read it. I took my time with the book, it was fun reading a new story every day! Highly recommended.
